Earthquakes
The Wasatch Front sits on an active fault system. A major quake could cut water, power, and roads for days — or longer.
In-home 72-hour kit checks, full household preparedness inventories, and one-on-one planning. I count it, organize it, and hand you a clear plan so you can stop wondering if you're ready.
Most families already have something in the basement. The hard part is knowing whether it would actually carry everyone through a real event.

Book a visit →I help Utah families turn “we've got some stuff in the basement” into a real, organized plan.
I started Steady Home Preparedness after seeing how many families had invested in food storage and 72-hour kits but had no idea what was actually in them, what had expired, or what they'd do if the power went out tonight. I bring a calm, practical approach — no fear tactics and no sales pitch — and leave you with something you can maintain on your own.
In-home visits are available across the Wasatch Front and surrounding Utah counties. If you're farther out, a small travel fee may apply, or we can do everything by video.
A Kit Check usually takes 60–90 minutes. A full household inventory typically runs 2–4 hours depending on how much is stored and how spread out it is.
Absolutely. Many of my clients are starting from zero. This is a judgment-free service — the whole point is to give you a clear starting place.
